Dancing in the dark.
“4train.”
It was noisy
on the train.
My headphones in my ears
as I rocked back and forth to this soulful tune.
to my right people
to my left more people
a baby starring at me
with piecing brown eyes
a women preaching the word.
Oh but this tune
was colorful
I never heard anything like it.
I close my eyes, and I dance
on an orange street.
I look up, and the sky
electric blue graced with glossy stars
it feels like fall, but it is winter
Lost on a melodic journey;
Don’t look for me.
Words begin to trace my mouth.
They match this world.
Oh but this tune.
Oh my stop
I was found and it was time continue on
“Remember those words girl…remember”!
How I watch you everyday
a simple maple tree yet different from union street.
There’s Violet and her fine leaves with lavender scent,
and the huge tree horizontal from you I call him,
The Chorister, home to all the feathered creatures,
who gather there to sing cheerful melodies.
But you plain, not that appealing
for you are still growing.
I adore you, you are boundless
When the dark clouds arrive
Disorder strikes, and the wind rumbles
The union grows powerless
You are sturdy, you are everlasting….
